How Do I Get A Refund Of The Double CMS Payments That Have Been Taken Out Of My Checking Account?
Double CMS payments have been taken out for several years from my checking account autopay as far back as I could go 5/20 to 1/22. How do I get this money back ?
Hi. I can't give you a definite answer since the action needed would depend on the cause of the duplicate withholding. If duplicate Medicare premiums have been withheld from your checking account for that length of time, then it must mean that either your Social Security or Medicare records are messed up. So, I would suggest calling Social Security (800-772-1213) and/or Medicare (800-633-4227) to try to determine the cause of the problem. Once the problem is solved, then your duplicate premiums should automatically be refunded to you.
