Will Working Part-Time For Three Months Affect My Medicaid?
I won after 3 denials, my disability..social security in 2019. At age of 60. I turned 62 may 2021. I'm now getting my social security if $2150 monthly.
Which qualifies me fir medicaid.
I pay nothing for part A, B, and D drug coverage.
I want to work part time job..16 hrs a week at $15 hr for 3 months during summer..Will this affect my medicaid? Will I have to reapply after end of job in sept??
Hi. My expertise is limited to Social Security benefits, not Medicaid. Medicaid is a needs based program administered by the individual U.S. states, so I imagine that additional income might affect your eligibility. You'll need to ask the agency that administers your Medicaid to find out for sure, though.
Working for 3 months won't immediately affect your Social Security disability (SSDI) benefits or Medicare, assuming that you haven't previously worked since your SSDI entitlement started. Any month that you earn at least $970 in 2022 will count toward your 9-month trial work period (TWP), though.
Best, Jerry
