Will SSI Payments Affect My Food Stamp Benefit?
Hi! I just got approved yesterday for SSI,YAY! am a single parent of a 12 year old. I have been receiving $304 food stamps and Medicaid. Will the SSI affect the Food Stamp benefit?
Hi,
I'm sorry, but Social Security is my only area of expertise and I don't know much about the food stamp program. My understanding is that food stamp eligibility is based on household income, though, so I would assume that any new source of income could have an effect your food stamp allotment.
