Hi,

Your Social Security disability (SSDI) benefit rate is based on a variable number of your highest earnings years, depending on your age at the time you were determined to be disabled. Your current and future earnings will only increase your SSDI rate if you earn more yearly than you did in one or more of the previous highest years of earnings used to calculate you current benefit rate.

Note however, that your SSDI benefits could be terminated if you earn more than $1170 per month. For more information on working while receiving Social Security benefits, refer to this Social Security publication: https://www.ssa.gov/pubs/EN-05-10095.pdf.

Best, Jerry
