Will I Receive Increases In Both Of My Benefits?
I receive DIC from. my husband's deal th which was 1\ half years ago. Do I receive both increases from Social Security also I am disabled but when I turned 65 they've put me on straight Social Security?
Hi. I'm sorry for your loss. My expertise is limited to Social Security benefits, so I can't tell you whether or not your DIC benefit amount will increase. If you're receiving any type of Social Security benefits, though, your benefit rate will go up due to the upcoming 8.7% cost of living increase (COLA). The 8.7% COLA increase will be effective starting with payments delivered in January 2023.
