Why Was My Benefit Payment Deposited Early This Month?
Hello Larry!
I have been receiving my SS check on the second Wednesday of the month since it began. Today, Nov.10th is a Tuesday and I see my SS has been already deposited to my bank account. Any reason for the day early rather then my usual Wednesday? My birthday is November 7th. Thanks for answering this question. Doris
Hi Doris,
Whenever a person's normal monthly payment day falls on a weekend or federal holiday, their Social Security benefit is delivered on the last business day prior to the weekend or holiday. Your regular payment day falls on Veterans' Day this month, which is why your payment was deposited a day early. You'll go back to receiving your benefit payments on the second Wednesday starting next month.
