Why Am I Getting Survivor Benefits?
Larry hello first of all just found your sight I would like to know why I'm getting survivors benefits and don't know why SSI gave me this benefits and don't have anyone that has passed I reapplied for SSI and got denied have an advocate and my hearing is Sept 12 2021 ?
Hi. I'm sorry, but I have no way of knowing what type of benefit you're receiving nor how your benefits got started. All I can tell you is that you can't start collecting Social Security benefits unless you apply for them, although it's possible that someone else could have applied for benefits on your behalf if you were a minor child or if you ar mentally or legally incompetent.
