I am planning to move to Thailand, to live with my granddaughter and her sweetie, in the spring.
What should I know about my social security before I finalize those plans? Is there a link to some important questions?

Without knowing any details about your circumstances, about the only thing I can do is refer to the following Social Security publication: https://www.ssa.gov/pubs/EN-05-10137.pdf. I can tell you that if you're a U.S. citizen and are receiving Social Security benefits based on your own earnings history, you can continue to receive your benefits while living in Thailand.
