Can I Get Something From My Husband's Benefits Now?

I turned 60 last July 2017, i was denied disability because I didn't have enought credits and I hadn't worked in more than 10 years. I hadn't worked in 15 yrs, I was a stay at home Mom. I went before an Administrator Judge and he said I was disabled but I was denied SSI because my husband owns a vacation rental. Can I get something from my husbands benefits, he went on Social Security in April 2016. Or do I have to wait until I'm 62 to get anything.

Hi,

Unless you have an eligible child in your care, the earliest that you could potentially qualify for spousal benefits is at age 62 (https://www.ssa.gov/OP_Home/handbook/handbook.03/handbook-0305.html).

Best, Jerry
