I worked for over 20 yrs and was fully invested in social security. Had to go on ssd after being diagnosed with MS. I only receive part of my social security, I was told because I'm married and my husband is still working (head of household). It doesn't seem right that I'm not able to get my full amount because I'm married. Is this correct and is there something I can do? I'm 42 and my husband is 44.

Your husband's earnings would have no effect on your Social Security disability benefits, so I suspect that what you are referring to is Supplemental Security Income (SSI). SSI is a needs based program not funded by Social Security taxes, and your husband's income could affect your eligibility for benefits under that program (https://www.ssa.gov/ssi/).

But, if you are in fact receiving only Social Security disability benefits and if they are being reduced as a result of your husband's earnings, that is wrong and you should probably consider filing an appeal (https://www.ssa.gov/pubs/EN-05-10041.pdf).
